Shingo Ochi was born in Takamatsu. While studying genetic engineering at Hiroshima University, he learned vocal music. In 1998 he made his operatic debut at the “Shin Hiroshima Opera Renaissance”, where he played Don Curzio in Mozart’s "Le nozze di Figaro". Then He had performed Fenton in Verdi’s "Falstaff", Alfredo and Gaston in Verdi’s "La Traviata", Remendado in Bizet’s "Carmen", Tamino and Erster Geharnischter in Mozart’s "Die Zauberflöte", Don ottavio in Mozart’s "Don giovannni", Contino Belfiore in Mozart’s "La finta giardiniera", among others. Especially, The performance that he had performed Paolino in Cimarosa’s "Il matrimonio segreto" had been awarded encouragement prize of Yoshio Sakawa music award. And he also played major roles in Japanese operas such as "Shimanto", "Princess Kaguya", and "Kimiwoyobukoe". Others, he appeared a tenor solist in Beethoven’s Symphony No.9, in Händel’s "Messiah", in Bruckner's "Te Deum", in Schubert's "Requiem", in J.S.Bach’s cantatas, among others. Graduated from Hiroshima University. He had been awarded 5th Blue Polaris Rookie Award. Currently, he is the representative director of Taga electric campany. Shikoku nikikai menber.
